Turkish Delegation to ATOMEX 2018 Visits CNIITMASH

As part of ATOMEX 2018, the 10th International Nuclear Industry Supplier Forum, the Turkish delegation had the opportunity to take a technical tour of the Russian State Scientific Center JSC RPA CNIITMASH (part of Atomenergomash JSC, Rosatom’s machine-building division).

The delegation comprised representatives of 17 Turkish companies and organizations, including the Ankara Chamber of Industry, AKDAS, HAREKET CRANES, ROLEDA, CİLTUG, Pekas Electric, IMPS, and others.

Founded in 1929, CNIITMASH develops basic materials, technologies and products for the energy and heavy engineering industries, including crucial elements of equipment for power plant units with VVER-1200 reactors, NPP-2006 new generation reactors, hydraulic and gas turbines, power plant units for thermal power plants, heavy presses and metallurgical units. CNIITMASH R&D in Moscow comprises five specialized institutes, a pilot plant and testing and certification centres.

During the technical tour, the experts visited the 3D printer building and the building housing the coating units. They were also introduced to the work of the welding centre and shown new products of CNIITMASH R&D.

The 10th International Forum of Nuclear Industry Suppliers ATOMEX 2018 was held at the Gostiny Dvor Exhibition Complex in Moscow on 3–4 December. This year, 1670 participants from 31 countries attended the Forum. Over 84% of the participants were representatives of 860 supplier companies that took part in both business programme events and the exhibition. South Korea and Turkey had the largest delegations among foreign participants.
